Global Tea Institute Call for Faculty Proposals

The UC Davis Global Tea Institute (GTI) invites qualified senate and federation faculty to submit proposals to develop new academic courses on or related to tea.  We are seeking innovative course designs in any department or college that will engage students in a deep exploration of the cultural, historical, economic, and/or scientific aspects of tea.  The award is part of the GTI’s larger commitment to developing a broad curriculum of courses related to tea so that UC Davis can offer an undergraduate degree (major and/or minor) in Global Tea Studies.  Proposals will be considered on a rolling basis for course buyouts beginning in Winter 2026.  Please see the Call for Proposals for further information.  Questions can be directed to Professor Joseph T. Sorensen: jsorensen@ucdavis.edu.
